1. Getting Started

Follow these steps to verify your first batch of emails:

1

Create an account

Sign up for a free account at the signup page. No credit card required — you get 100 free verifications per month.

2

Add your email list

On the dashboard, either paste email addresses directly into the text area (one per line) or upload a .csv or .txt file.

3

Click "Verify Emails"

Review the email count and click the verify button. You'll see a progress bar as each email is checked.

4

Download your report

Once complete, your report appears in "My Email Verification Reports." Click "Download CSV" to get the full results.

2. CSV & TXT Format Requirements

TXT files

Place one email address per line. Blank lines are ignored.

CSV files

Include a header row. The system scans all columns and automatically detects email addresses, so you don't need to worry about column names or order.

Tip: You can also separate emails with commas or semicolons when pasting into the text area. The system handles all common separators.

Download sample files: sample-email-list.csv · sample-email-list.txt — use these as templates for your own email lists.

3. Understanding Your Results

Each verified email gets several data points. Here's what they mean:

Field Description
Status The overall verdict for the email address
Confidence Score A score from 0 to 100 indicating how certain we are about the result
AI Verdict Machine-learning assessment combining multiple signals
Is Safe to Send A simple Yes/No recommendation on whether to include this email in your campaigns
Reason Detailed explanation of why the email was flagged (e.g., "MX record not found," "Mailbox does not exist")
Domain Health Score Score based on MX, SPF, DKIM, and DMARC configuration of the email's domain

Status values explained

Status What it means Recommended action
Valid The email address exists and the mailbox is active Safe to send
Risky The email might work, but there are warning signs (catch-all domain, temporary address, etc.) Send with caution or remove
Invalid The email does not exist, the domain has no mail server, or the mailbox was rejected Remove from your list
Unknown Could not be verified (server timeout, greylisting, or temporary issue) Retry later or send with caution

Tip: Use the "Is Safe to Send" column for a quick Yes/No filter. For more nuanced decisions, look at the confidence score and AI verdict together.

4. Troubleshooting Common Errors

"Not enough credits"

Your batch has more emails than your remaining credits for this billing period. You can either reduce the batch size, wait for credits to reset at the start of your next billing period, or upgrade your plan for more credits immediately.

"Invalid file type"

Only .csv and .txt files are accepted. If you have an Excel (.xlsx) file, save it as CSV first using File → Save As → CSV (Comma delimited).

"File too large"

The maximum upload size is 10 MB. If your file is larger, split it into smaller batches and run separate verifications.

"No valid email addresses detected"

The system couldn't find any properly formatted email addresses in your input. Make sure each email follows the [email protected] format. Common issues:

Verification stuck at 0%

This can happen if the verification engine is processing a large queue. Wait a minute and refresh the page. Your batch will continue processing in the background. If it stays stuck for more than 5 minutes, contact [email protected].

Report shows "processing" for a long time

Large batches (thousands of emails) can take several minutes because each email requires DNS lookups and SMTP checks. The progress bar shows real-time status. If a batch stays in "processing" for more than 30 minutes, contact support.

CSV download is empty or missing columns

Make sure the verification completed successfully (status shows "Complete"). Reports for batches that failed or are still processing cannot be downloaded. If a completed report downloads with missing data, try clearing your browser cache and downloading again.

Still stuck? Email us at [email protected] with your batch ID and a description of the issue. We typically respond within 24 hours.
